1. Micronutrient testing

Essential vitamins and minerals are required for internal homeostasis.  How can you maintain a health body weight without effort? It is simple – get enough of the necessary nutrients your cells need to support the natural functions of the body. 2. Hormone Testing

Hormones are chemical messengers in the body.  They send signals through blood to organs, instructing them to carry out specific actions.  Examples of hormones are leptin, thyroid hormone, testosterone, insulin and estrogen to name a few.  When these hormones are out of balance it can affect body weight distribution.  Deficiency or excess in some of these hormones can trigger your body to hold on and store macronutrients in the form of body fat.  Therefore, no amount of exercise to lose weight can counteract the effects of hormone imbalance.  We can change your hormone balance by first discovering what your current levels are.  Hormone testing is covered by insurance (you must contact your insurance company to find out exactly how much is covered) and can be done in the privacy of your own home.  Our hormone testing kits require saliva and or urine samples which are then mailed back to the company for review.

3. Neurotransmitter testing

Neurotransmitters are also chemical messengers in the body.  They however relay messages from cell to cell.  Some of them can include epinephrine, norepinephrine, dopamine, PEA, and Glutamate.  Neurotransmitters can affect mood, digestive motility, heart rate, weight and eating patterns.  Many inputs in our life can affect the level of balance with these messengers including high stress levels, medications, foods, nutrients, sleep and or exercise.  When we have adequate balance of each of them this in turn allows us to maintain a healthy weight and control eating patterns.  Without healthy levels of neurotransmitters you will not be able to maintain a healthy weight easily.  This testing can be done in your home with a urine sample and is then sent back to the company for review.  Most are covered by insurance and you would have to confirm with your company the total amount covered.

4. Supplement Recommendations
